Role

Visual Identity, Logo, Visual Design, Packaging

Joseph Palau, owner of Flan Factory in Tampa, wanted a logo that felt personal and handcrafted. He aimed to honor his Cuban roots and Flan Factory’s journey from a small market stall to a beloved Tampa restaurant. The goal was to create a look and feel that connected with both loyal "Flanatics" and new customers, mixing tradition with a fresh, welcoming touch.

Inspired by 1960s handwritten typography and the vibrant culture of Ybor City in Tampa, I designed a custom hand-lettered logo that feels nostalgic and refined. To add even more character, I introduced Flancito, a cheerful flan mascot that enhances the brand's appeal.

The final logo ties the past to the present. It celebrates Flan Factory’s heritage while preparing for future growth. The result is warm, genuine, and inviting. It helps Flan Factory stand out in Tampa’s food scene while remaining true to its roots.
